The other day I googled, "what should a 3 year old's heart rate be" because I thought Riley's heart beat seemed rather fast (it was normal by the way, and yes, I do worry too much) and somehow, in searching for a heart rate chart, I came across an article that touched my own heart. It was titled "What should a 4 year old know?" It reminded me that the most important thing for little kids to know is not whether or not they can count to 100 or can spell 35 different words, but rather that they are unconditionally loved and accepted, that they are allowed to be as silly and creative as they want to be, and that they are safe :)
Last week I photographed two kids who get an A+ in being silly, creative and fun....they sang for me, danced, and were an all around delight to be around. They were the perfect start to a beautiful day.

Kelli,
I love this. Thank you for that reminder of what's really important. It's so easy to forget at times. :)
